“I think deep down people have this desire to make an impact and be remembered; to scream “I was here, I did this, I lived this life.” I believe that when we face death in a close friend, family, or ourselves, this feeling is more relevant than ever. Life feels so much more temporary and there’s this desire to make the most out of what you have. To leave a mark behind.
During our freshman year of college, one by one myself, Brooke, and all of our friends went home for the summer. In the fall, one by one, we returned but Brooke didn’t. Her heart had failed and she was spending her sophomore year in the hospital. That feeling of "life is temporary" felt more prominent than ever before and that basic human desire to make an impact and be remembered felt significant for us for the first time in a long time.
Filmmaking is so unique because it allows you to do just that by making an impact and inspiring others through the art of storytelling. To inspire people to be truly alive and present, to make an impact, to love to their fullest extent. I hope that when you watch this film you’re inspired to make an impact and to be remembered. To climb that mountain and to scream “I was here, I did this, I lived this life”. To live a life worthy of leaving a mark behind because life is temporary and I think that’s what makes it so special.
We’ve been hard at work in Savannah to bring this film to you and I can’t wait for you to see it.”
